With a commitment to open access and international peer review, MetaTech is dedicated to the foundational technologies that constitute the metaverse—the persistent, interconnected, and immersive digital universe. Focusing on infrastructure, protocols, and systems enabling immersive experiences, interoperability, digital ownership, and large-scale virtual interaction, the journal recognizes that a functioning metaverse depends on a stack of enabling technologies—from high-speed networking and edge computing to blockchain, AI, and real-time graphics—and encourages scholarship addressing performance, scalability, security, and reliability challenges inherent in this emerging infrastructure.
