Call for Papers—Behavioural Finance: From Individual Judgement to Corporate Practice

03/06/2026

Journal of Behavioural Finance and Business Psychology (JBFBP) is pleased to announce this Special Issue themed Behavioural Finance: From Individual Judgement to Corporate Practice.

Aligned with JBFBP’s interdisciplinary mission to link behavioural science, finance and organisational behaviour, this issue invites rigorous, innovative research that uncovers the psychological mechanisms connecting individual financial behaviour to corporate financial practice, and examines their practical implications for investors, corporations, financial governance and market efficiency.

We welcome diverse methodological approaches and cross-disciplinary perspectives that advance evidence-based knowledge of behavioural finance across individual and corporate contexts.

Traditional finance’s rational agent assumption has long been challenged by real-world financial reality: human psychology shapes financial behaviour at every level. From an individual investor’s risk perception and decision-making to a corporation’s financial judgement, reporting practices and strategic choices, psychological factors are the invisible driver of financial actions.

Cognitive biases, emotional responses, heuristic reasoning and personality traits do not exist in isolation. Their impacts cascade from micro-level individual behaviour to macro-level corporate financial practice, even shaping organizational decision-making logic and market ecosystem dynamics. Exploring the continuum of behavioural finance from individual judgement to corporate practice is thus critical to bridging theoretical insights with real-world financial applications, and building a more holistic understanding of the human dimension in finance and business.
