For Authors
Submission Overview
All manuscripts must be submitted through the online submission system available on each journal’s webpage.
No more than two authors should act as the corresponding author, responsible for communication during peer review and publication.
Before submission, authors are advised to read the journal’s Aims and Scope to ensure their work fits the focus of the journal.
Chun Cheng Publisher (CCP) welcomes submissions from all countries and disciplines represented in its journals. Each article must present original research or a meaningful review of existing knowledge.
Language and Style
Authors must use clear, grammatically correct, and professional English. Either American or British English is acceptable, but the chosen style must be applied consistently throughout the entire manuscript. If necessary, authors may seek English editing support before submission.
Artificial Intelligence (AI) Use Policy
Chun Cheng Publisher supports the responsible use of artificial intelligence (AI) tools in academic writing and figure preparation.
Authors may use AI tools for language correction, grammar improvement, or figure generation, but they must maintain full responsibility for the accuracy and originality of their work.
If AI tools are used in any part of the manuscript preparation, including text editing, data visualization, or image generation, authors are required to acknowledge their use clearly in the Acknowledgment section or in a short note within the manuscript.
The statement should mention the specific tool used and the purpose, for example:
“The authors used [tool name] to assist with grammar checking and figure visualization.”
AI tools must not be used to generate or fabricate research data, analysis, or citations. All ideas, interpretations, and conclusions must be the result of human authorship. The editorial team reserves the right to request clarification about AI use during the review process. Improper or undisclosed use of AI tools may lead to revision, rejection, or retraction in accordance with the publisher’s ethics policy.
Ethical Responsibilities
CCP follows international ethical guidelines for publication integrity.
Authors must:
- Submit only original and unpublished work not under review elsewhere
- Properly cite all sources and avoid plagiarism or data manipulation
- Include a statement of ethical approval for studies involving humans or animals
- Authors must include a statement of informed consent where required, especially for studies involving human participants, identifiable data, or images. To support authors in meeting ethical standards, an official Informed Consent Template is provided by CCP and can be downloaded. Authors may use this template or submit an equivalent institutional version that meets ethical requirements.
- Disclose all funding sources and conflicts of interest
Any breach of ethics may result in rejection or retraction following COPE principles (https://publicationethics.org/).
Peer Review Process
All manuscripts undergo a double-blind peer review process to ensure fairness, objectivity, and high academic quality. For complete details about review stages, timelines, and editorial responsibilities, authors may refer to the Editorial Process section available on our website. Steps in the review process:
- Initial check by the editorial office for scope, quality, and plagiarism screening using Crossref Similarity Check (powered by iThenticate).
- Peer review by at least two external-independent experts.
- Decision made by the Editor-in-Chief based on reviewers’ reports.
- Revision requested from the author(s) if necessary.
The average time from submission to first decision is about four to six weeks. Accepted articles proceed to professional editing and online publication within two weeks after acceptance.
Conflict of Interest
Authors must disclose any financial, personal, academic, or professional relationships that may influence, or appear to influence, the research process, interpretation of results, or manuscript preparation. Conflicts of interest may include employment, consultancies, honoraria, stock ownership, paid expert testimony, or personal relationships. Authors are responsible for providing a clear and accurate statement of any potential conflicts. The provided Template can be used for preparation.
Funding Disclosure
Authors must provide full details of all financial support received for the research and manuscript preparation. The funding statement should include the name of the funding agency, grant number (if applicable), and a brief description of the funder’s role in the study. If no funding was received, authors should include the statement: “This research received no external funding.”
Data Availability
Authors are encouraged to make underlying research data available to ensure transparency and reproducibility.
Where appropriate, include a Data Availability Statement describing how data, materials, or code can be accessed.
Public data repositories such as Zenodo (https://zenodo.org/), Dryad (https://datadryad.org/), or institutional repositories are recommended. However, authors must not upload peer-reviewed but unpublished manuscripts to any preprint platform or public repository. Only datasets, code, protocols, and non-confidential supplementary files are permitted for public deposition prior to publication.
Preprint Policy
CCP journals allow submission of manuscripts that have been previously posted as preprints on recognized servers (e.g., arXiv, bioRxiv, medRxiv). Authors must declare the existence of any preprint at the time of submission and include the DOI or URL. Posting a preprint will not affect the review process or editorial decision. Authors are not allowed to upload peer-reviewed but unpublished manuscripts to preprint platforms. Once accepted, authors are requested to update the preprint with a link to the final published version.
Copyright and License
Authors retain copyright to their work. All articles are published under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0) (https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/). This allows others to share and adapt the work freely as long as proper credit is given.
Proofs and Publication
After acceptance, authors will receive an electronic proof for review.
Corrections should be returned within three working days.
Once approved, the article will be published online as the version of record and assigned a DOI for permanent access.
Appeals and Complaints
Authors who believe their manuscript was treated unfairly may submit a written appeal to the journal’s editorial office. All appeals are reviewed by the Editor-in-Chief together with independent editorial advisors. Any complaint regarding editorial decisions, peer review, or publication ethics will be handled transparently according to COPE recommendations (https://publicationethics.org/).
