For Reviewers
Role of Reviewers
Reviewers are essential partners in maintaining the quality, integrity, and fairness of scholarly publication. Their evaluations help editors ensure that each accepted article meets scientific, methodological, and ethical standards. Reviews should be constructive, respectful, and focused on improving the clarity, originality, and validity of the work.
Invitation and Acceptance
Reviewers are invited based on their expertise and previous publication record.
Before accepting an invitation, reviewers should confirm that:
- The topic matches their area of knowledge.
- They can complete the review within the suggested time frame (usually 14 days).
- They have no conflict of interest with the authors, funders, or research institution involved.
If a reviewer cannot accept the invitation, they are encouraged to recommend qualified alternatives.
Confidentiality
All manuscripts under review are confidential documents. Reviewers must not share, discuss, or use any information from the manuscript before publication. After completing the review, all copies of the manuscript should be deleted or securely stored only for record-keeping with editorial permission.
Objectivity and Constructive Feedback
Reviews should focus on academic quality, not on personal opinions about authors or institutions. Constructive suggestions that help authors improve their work are highly valued. Comments should be detailed enough to support the reviewer’s recommendation, but also concise and respectful in tone.
Evaluation Criteria
Reviewers are asked to evaluate:
- Clarity and originality of the research question
- Soundness and transparency of methods and data
- Accuracy of analysis and validity of conclusions
- Relevance to the journal’s aims and scope
- Quality of figures, tables, and references
- Overall contribution to the field
Each reviewer will recommend one of the following decisions: Accept Submission, Revisions Required, Resubmit for Review, Resubmit Elsewhere, or Decline Submission.
Reviewer Recognition
Chun Cheng Publisher acknowledges the valuable contribution of peer reviewers through:

- Treat all manuscripts with strict confidentiality
- Declare any potential conflict of interest immediately
- Avoid personal criticism of the authors
- Base comments on evidence and scholarly reasoning
- Inform the editor if they suspect misconduct or duplication
